Can’t recall when last I wrote,
A simple rhyming note,
Feels strange to balance a pen,
And struggle to compose a line again,
I had missed this gentle scratching sound,
As words I’d yearned for are found,
Etched upon a scrap,
Not locked in that machine on your lap,
It is magical to regard,
The effortless dance and the words scarred,
In ink across this sheet,
No rules, no word count to complete,
Just endless possibilities and me,
I missed this.
